The Chemistry Education Study Program at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Holds a Socialization Seminar on Student Proposals for the Class of 2023
The Chemistry Education Study Program, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, held a Proposal Seminar Socialization activity for students of the 2023 intake. The activity, which took place on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at the FITK UIN Sunan Kalijaga building, aimed to provide understanding and initial preparation for students before moving on to the final project stage.
This outreach activity is a strategic step for the study program to align perceptions regarding research proposal quality standards and to outline the required administrative procedures. This is crucial to avoid any technical or academic confusion for students when registering for the research proposal examination.
The main material for this activity was delivered comprehensively by the Secretary of the Chemistry Education Study Program. In his presentation, he detailed the registration process for the proposal seminar, starting with the title submission process through the Academic Information System (SIA), the prerequisites for completing the credits, and preparing the research proposal. He also provided an overview of the criteria for relevant, innovative, and appropriate research topics that meet the current needs of chemistry education.
Furthermore, the study program emphasizes the importance of discipline in following UIN Sunan Kalijaga's scientific writing guidelines. Students are reminded to pay attention to originality, establish good academic communication with their supervisors, and proactively explore literature.
The series of outreach events concluded with an interactive discussion and question-and-answer session between the presenters and students. Through this activity, the Chemistry Education Study Program hopes that all students in the class of 2023 will be mentally and academically prepared, capable of producing high-quality research proposals and ultimately completing their studies on time.
