| Description | This course is a review of organic compounds and their functions from a biological perspective, which reviews living organisms and the chemical processes that occur within them. The study begins with an explanation of the history and development of biochemistry and its benefits as a scientific discipline. Followed by an explanation of the basic concepts of biological systems, starting from the smallest part of living things, namely cells. The next discussion is the structure and function of biomolecules such as water, carbohydrates, proteins, lipids, nucleic acids and enzymes. |
