On Saturday, October 25, 2025, students of the Chemistry Education Program at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta carried out a community service activity in collaboration with the students of SMA Ali Maksum. The activity took place in one of the classrooms at SMA Ali Maksum and was attended by Chemistry Education students from UIN Sunan Kalijaga as well as students of SMA Ali Maksum.

This community service program is part of the official work agenda of the Chemistry Education Program at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. It aims to strengthen relationships and foster a sense of connection between university students and high school students. With the theme “Face Wash Production,” the activity also served as a platform for Chemistry Education students to expand their networks and insights, particularly in building interactions beyond the classroom environment.

The activity began at 07:00 AM and was guided by Dr. Paed. Asih Widi Wisudawati, Head of the Chemistry Education Program, along with Laili Nailul Muna, a lecturer in Cosmetic Chemistry. Following the opening session and remarks from the school representative, participants were given an introduction to the product that would be made. Representatives from the Chemistry Education students then assisted each group by explaining the procedures, while Ms. Laili provided guidance from the front regarding the measurements and ingredients used in the process.

The next session was an open discussion and Q&A. During this session, participants were encouraged to exchange ideas within their groups and respond to questions prepared by the committee. In addition to discussing the products they had created, participants also enjoyed interactive games led by the master of ceremonies.

In the reflection session, representatives of the students shared their impressions and feedback about the activity. They described the program as engaging and enjoyable. One participant mentioned that their first impression of the activity was very positive. They also expressed their hope that similar community service programs would continue in the future and that the established connections would be maintained. The activity concluded with the presentation of souvenirs and a group photo session.
